Good Evening TBC (Trolly Broadcasting Corp) brings you the Fashion File new episode "The Heels".

Women these days do not get flattered by being called pretty or cute. The looks of today has everything to do with being sexy whether its the big hairdo or thick lashes or satin and silk attire. But above all, the heels that brings the sexy back in you and entice desire and lust in your man. The stilettos have been the sex symbol since 50's to lure men whether worn by socialites or sex workers. The sky high heels have reached a new height.

Spring/summer 2009 has the heels covered in every footwear, whether daytime casual sandals or evening dress shoes. Brands like Manolo Blahniks and Jimmy Choos have been household names after the television serial Sex and the City. Prada has the mean streak after the movie the Devil Wears Prada. Versace, Michael Kohrs, Gucci, Yves St Laurent etc have been the runway favorites. All the brands and designers are showing the spring/summer trends with high powered heels in all different forms of stacks, wedges, platforms in 4 key looks for spring/summer 09.

Artisan with an ethnic, gladiator looks in cork, wood platforms and in heavy metal studs, and embellishments. Handcrafted artisan detailing like embroidery, native stitching is mixed with a more urban edge of patent, metallic cage in sky high city sandals.

Vivid colors and prints from orange, raspberry, aqua in floral base to match the bright tints of spring garments. Multi colored prints brighten up spring/summer shoes and handbags ranging from sharp stripes to soft floral to diffused prints on silk, satin and patent giving the shoes a much deserved spotlight.

High shine, patent, animal prints and reptile leather give the posh feel to the shoes. The rhinestones and gems add extra opulence to the heels. Dark green, steely blues and bronzes lends the needed glamour and sophistication.

Shoe booties and fringes are some new features that add the volume and exotic feel to your shoes Chunky and new heel shapes like a round barrel heel and some talon like points have been the new features. The bold and beautiful has taken over anything small and delicate whether in shoes, bags or accessories.

Designs inspired by eighties have been a rage in the spring/summer fashion like form-fitting dresses, miniskirts, skinny leather biker pants and shoes have been matched with the eighties looks. The New black is mixed with a touch of grey, striped with whites and the polka dots and geometric patterns that give the refreshing feel of eighties.

The sky heels may look hot and sexy but you really need to be brave to walk on it. There has never been as many heel mishaps in the history of runway as in spring 2009. Watch the Prada's spring collection and the heel malfunction.

Canadian retailers are showing more practical styles that have the same fashion feel but wearable for work and play in their private and designer brands. Vancouver's own Sterling and Town Shoes are showing lots of hues and heels in their spring collection which are easily accessible and affordable. Check out their spring styles and behind the scenes video that covers casual, athletic to high society evening wears, from simple pumps to sexy platforms.

Natasha, your articles are getting better every time you write. I urge you to focus more on writing and relying less on gimmics like links and pics. This article though, is absolutely fabulous!

Also, you probably know that both Monisha and Malini walked all over you in Fashion. Do NOT let history repeat itself! They are both in the best body of their lives and the burden is on you to prove that you can do glamorous roles like they can. They have already proven themselves in Race. Now its your turn.

Your fans are anxious to see you...JUST you ie. sans the tires!

Wish it talked about other cities like NYC, Milan, Paris etc. There are no fashion houses in Vancouver so I don't understand why the writer goes so much in detail about Vancouver?

Fantastic article Natasha!!! Thank you so much for representing the T-girl community in Vancouver.
I really looking forward to your starring role in Fashion, but hoping you have dropped a few kilos since Race to fit the role.
I also heard a rumor that you are currently engaged to Saagar Malhotra. Could you please confirm this. I though he was still married to Monisha???

This is a very disappointing article. One constructive criticism: this writer Natasha uses WAYYY too many link and pictures and doesn't really "write" much. Malati writes so much more and relies on little to no links/pics. I hope Natasha will consider spending more time writing and put less pics and links.

After all, you can only see so many pics of heels before you get sick of it popping up all over the screen. Just look at the reaction of all the fans. Most have not been excited about it. It's a flop.
