Results of the Top 5 Actresses of 2012 Poll are out. We provide not just the results of our scientific poll but also detailed analysis and response from all the stars themselves.
1.
Malini Nanku-Malhotra (2011 Rank - #1) For the seventh year in a row, Malini
stays on top of Trollywood proving that with time, her popularity has only
become stronger. While her contemporaries have come and gone, she remains
firmly on top of her game. We believe that the key to her success lies in her
ability to keep changing according to the times and play a wide range of roles.
Few years ago Malini realized that she was being typecast as a being too
traditional in films like Devdas, GMM, KANK and Silsila – Settlement of a Scam.
She made a conscious decision to change her image because she knew that if she
did not change, the audience would get tired of her. The decision to
transform into a glamorous avatar in Fashion paid dividends and she was able to
catch the attention of the newer generation. Yet, she continues to impress by
playing the mother of teenagers in We R Family followed by a sexy siren in
Dostana which became the biggest blockbuster in history. Malini seemed to agree
with our analysis “Whether it’s Sridevi , Madhuri, Katrina or Malini we have to
keep surprising our fans. People get tired of the same expressions and they told
me ki kya Malini tu har film mein wohi bakwas karti hai? So I changed my style.
After Silsila, Fashion, Race, We R Family, Dostana and now Raaz-3, no one knows
ki Malini agle film mein kaisi dikhegi? That is the RAAZ of my success. That is
why I believe I am #1 because I keep the junta guessing and coming back for
more. After playing a pati vrati wife in Raaz-3, I will be playing a
complete seductress in my next film JISM so watch out for that soon. As for the
newcomers, they will come and go but I will stay on top because I keep changing
myself according to times."
2.
Deepika Parajuli (2011 Rank #3) Deepika made heads turn in We R Family
and even though the film flopped, she got noticed by everyone including BPP who
signed her on for a 3-film deal. As soon as Natasha bowed out of the author
backed role of Shanya in Raaz-3, Deepika stepped in and the rest is history.
Natasha’s loss has certainly been Deepika’s gain as she now has the biggest
blockbuster film in Trollywood to be proud of and also has taken over the #2
position which previously belonged to Natasha. She stated “Being just 2 films
old, I could not be more thrilled that I am already #2 in Trollywood. And the
fact that I have taken over Natasha's position just proves that she made a
terrible mistake by rejecting this offer of lead role in Raaz-3. For now I want
to stick to playing lead roles in similar big films. My next release is Jab Tak
Hai Jaan with StarZ followed by another big film of BPP that I am trying my
best to get into. Natasha's career is almost over as she has no more demand and
being a Nepali, I can perfectly fit into all her roles. Malini has been at the
top for so long and what goes up always comes down. As far as Shanata and
Amritaa, they are known more for cheap controversies than films so they are no
threat to me. I believe with my fans support, I will meet my goal of
being the next #1 actress of Trollywood in the next couple of years.”
3.
Shanata Sanga: (2011
Rank # 6) Shanata shot to fame this year with her hit Desi Boyzz and has
already bagged 2 films with StarZ and Karmic Productions. Signing a Bollywood
film and being approached by several film makers in the UK has kept this
international diva in the news. Shanata also has her eyes firmly placed on the
#1 position. She says, “Ofcourse the
journey (to get to #3) has been so difficult and a very long ride but I’m an
independent strong transgender women who has my head firmly placed on my
shoulders and my feet firmly placed on the ground. I know what I want in life
and I will work hard to achieve it.”
4.
Amritaa: (2011 Rank # 4) Amrita continues to stay in the #4 position
even though she had no releases in 2012. She has kept her fans updated with
news and also by getting involved in several controversies. She says “I never
stopped getting offers after my last release but did not have time for them
because I was too focused on my business career. Not many people know that I
was the original choice for Natasha’s role in Fashion and Malini's role in
Dostana. Now that my business career is more stable, I have signed 2 films
which will put me on top. My next release is Jab Tak Hai Jaan opposite
Rehan Khan followed by another big film under negotiations with BPP. Right now
I want to establish myself fully. I have got many offers to strip but I want to
focus on doing meaningful films that I can be proud of – not vulgar or adult
films!”
5.
Natasha Rai: (2011 Rank #2) With no news or releases, Natasha is a classic
case of “out of sight means out of mind.” Her career in Trollywood has nose
dived . While her ex-rival Malini remains on top, Natasha has lost out and most
people believe it’s over for her. She did make heads turn in Raaz-3 but
item numbers are never taken seriously. She’s been around for many years but
unlike Malini, she has been typecast by doing the same type of role in every
movie. Even Natasha seems to agree – “Its obvious that I have become less
popular and I have less no of fans than before. I think the main reasons
could be that I have not been very versatile in choosing my roles and the
audience has been tired of me. Also, I have reservation to appear in bikini as
I don't have body for it and it will not suit my age and image. Malini looked
great in Dostana and carried it off well. This helped her to retain her no.1
position despite lots of competition from the younger actresses like Deepika
and Shinata. Kudos to her!” TrollyGossips announced last week that Natasha has
been thrown out of Talaash which means that DARR will either make
or break her career. If the film flops, 2012 will be the end of Natasha's career.

OMG that means the article from trollygossip is true. Natasha Rai has been kicked out of Talaash and replaced by Deepika!! WOW I can't believe BPP can do this to her after all the films she did for them??? They should support her right now when no one is supporting her. I guess there are no loyalties in Trollywood and the film makers and only chasing top actresses. Now that she's no longer on top, no one wants Natasha except her fans like me!!!!!!!!! Natasha don't give up. You should FIGHT and get back to the top. If Malini can beat these bimbettes why not you???
I know Natasha still has a lot of fans and if given the right opportunity, she can shine again. I believe Deepika is sucking up to both BPP and StarZ to get herself in all of Natasha's films. Darr will bring Natasha back with a bang and all the banners will be dying to work with her again. My vote goes to Natasha!
Why are these new girls being so bitchy? It's ok to be competitive but why do we t-girls have to be so nasty? I think Malini and Natasha are so respectable in their approach but the others are down right rude. Have some respect for those that came before you because others will come after you soon!!!!
Natasha will always be on top no one can stop her not even Beep beep
I don't believe the hype and BS about number game. For me, Amrita and Natasha are #1 actresses. Malini seems dubious and people should not fall for her humble charms. It's all an act. After all she's a very talented "ACTress" #1!!!
Now i'll make sure to watch Darr because I want Natasha to stay in trollywood!!!
Dear t-girls and Nepali baini haru,
It's time to unite and stand for a cause. We t-girls are too imfamous for bitching but today we can prove that we can be loyal friends and fans as well.
I have drafted a petition and encourage all of you to write to BPP boss Arun Bhansali that he CANNOT kick Natasha out of Talaash and she deserves a chance. Deepika has been very notorious and mean in her recent trollygossips interview and in this one. We need to teach her a lesson so please write to gayfareonline at gmail.com and tell the boss that you will support Darr ONLY for Natasha and you want her back in Talaash. If I am alone, I will fail but if we are united, we WILL prevail!
Tapaiko Baini,
Monisha
